Why Confession?
The Byzantine tradition sees Confession not only as forgiveness of sins, but as spiritual healing. Just as Archangel Raphael is the bearer of God’s healing in Scripture, so too Christ heals our souls through this mystery.
How It Works
Confession takes place in front of an icon of Christ, with the priest as witness and guide. Together we pray, acknowledge our need for God’s mercy, and receive absolution and encouragement for the journey ahead.
